FIGHT MARKETS, EXPLAINED

Underdog fight prices: evidence before a story

A large price is not proof of value. Work through the matchup and the uncertainty before interpreting a fighter as underestimated.

Separate fact from narrative

Opponent quality, notice period, recent activity and the bout format can help frame a question. An isolated highlight or winning streak is not a calibrated forecast.

Use probability carefully

The inverse price is a comparison tool, not your own estimate. If you cannot explain why your estimate differs and how uncertain it is, a large potential return adds little information.

Watch the market definition

A fighter-to-win bet is different from a knockout or decision selection on that fighter. Check the draw and no-contest terms as well as the price.
