Start with an identified contest
Record the two fighters, event date and scheduled distance. Exhibition rules, changed opponents and revised round counts can change the relevant market conditions. An old bout preview should not be treated as proof of the current specification.
A recorded price belongs to a particular selection at a particular time. It is unsuitable for a best-price claim if the comparison uses a different market or a later capture.
A winner market can contain two or three outcomes
Some listings show the two fighters; others also list a draw. Read the actual settlement language instead of inferring the contract from the number of visible prices. The treatment of a technical draw or no contest also requires the operator’s rules.
As a worked example, prices of 2.00 and 2.00 each give an inverse price of 50%. That calculation accounts for the whole market only if these are its two exhaustive outcomes. If a draw is a third outcome, omitting it makes the comparison incomplete.
Distance and method are different questions
A selection on a boxer to win differs from one on a stoppage, decision or specified round. A technical decision need not be treated like an ordinary completed-distance decision in every market. Keep the precise wording beside the recorded price.
For round totals, identify the operator’s midpoint definition and how official stoppage time is used. Do not assume that a fight described in a headline as finishing in round five answers an over-or-under half-round question.
Keep the payment ledger separate
Record the credited stake in its account currency and the asset amount transferred. If a winning bet returns 25 account units including a stake of 10, the betting profit is 15 units before other charges. That does not establish the profit in BTC or your usual spending currency.
Asset-price changes and conversion charges can affect the eventual withdrawal. A correct sporting selection cannot guarantee a positive result after those separate effects.
Use the receipt for settlement checks
Keep the accepted market description, selection, price and event reference. The current page may later show a different line. A historic screenshot is evidence of a display, not necessarily evidence that a bet was accepted.
